Palasia (planned alignment — verify current status)
New Palasia is central Indore at its most convenient: ten minutes from almost everything, anchored by Chhappan Dukan's 56 food shops, with a mix of older bungalows, mid-rise apartments and the offices of half the city's doctors and CAs. It's less flashy than Vijay Nagar and more walkable than nearly anywhere else in the city.
Housing stock skews older — expect character and the occasional plumbing adventure rather than clubhouse amenities. What you're paying for is location: Palasia square, the hospital cluster, and the commercial core are all effectively next door.
Pros and cons of New Palasia
Why people love it
- Genuinely central — most of Indore within a 15-minute ride
- Chhappan Dukan and the Palasia food scene on foot
- Quieter residential lanes than the address suggests
What nobody mentions
- Older buildings; amenities-heavy seekers should look at Nipania instead
- Parking inside older societies is tight
- Main-road-facing flats get Palasia square's traffic hum
Best forWorking professionals and families who value location over new-build amenities

Chhappan Dukan
Sarafa's well-behaved daytime sibling. Cleaner, calmer, better for families — slightly less magic.

Johny Hot Dog
A ₹50 legend that earns the hype. The benjo is a texture masterclass, not a gourmet dish — order it knowing that.

Vijay Chaat House
The khopra pattice is a top-five Indore bite. Everything else on the menu is merely very good.
